JUSTIN KIMPSON

After graduating from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Justin Kimpson wanted to bring his education degree to Detroit. The recent graduate and Coleman Young Scholar returned to his hometown as a middle school social studies teacher, but layoffs in the Detroit Public Schools dashed his hopes for a teaching career. Now, Kimpson is senior director at the Ford Resource Engagement Center, where he helps Detroit residents learn new skills and develop talent.
