Jemel Roberson was 26-years-old when he was shot and killed by police while working at Manny’s Blue Room outside of Chicago on November 11, 2018. Roberson was an armed security guard at the tavern and had tackled a man who came into the bar and opened fired, according to witnesses. Police responded to shots fired, saw Roberson with a gun and shot him. Witnesses say they told police that Roberson was security.
