Dr. Wayne Frederick is a Trinidadian-born U.S. scholar, surgeon, researcher and administrator. He was appointed president of Howard University in Washington D.C., after an unanimous recommendation by the university’s Presidential Search Committee on July 21, 2014. He served as Interim President beginning October 1, 2013, following the resignation of Sidney A. Ribeau. He previously served as provost and chief academic officer at Howard University.
