Claudia Patricia Gómez González was 20-year-old when she was shot in the head by a US Customs and Border Patrol agent in Rio Bravo, Texas. Gómez died in circumstances that remain unclear, in an overgrown lot framed by ramshackle homes. She was about a third of a mile from the border.
