CHRISTINE DE LA ROSA

Christine De La Rosa is the co-founder & CEO of the People’s Dispensary. Christine is a proven entrepreneur who owns and co-owns several successful Bay Area businesses, including Craft & Spoon restaurant and Town Biz retail store in Oakland, Queen of Hearts art gallery and dispensary in San Francisco, and two event production companies. She is a well-known advocate for the chronically ill, people of color, women, and the LGBTQ community. Christine’s entry point into the cannabis industry was by way of a near-death experience. Diagnosed with Lupus in 2009, after a pulmonary embolism almost took her life, she spent three years taking 11 synthetic pills daily plus a monthly chemo-like infusion at the hospital to treat her varied ailments, while barely being able to walk with a cane. Her introduction to cannabis-based CBD in 2015 changed her life and was the catalyst that inspired her to open Benefit Health Collective with her co-founders. Her use of CBD has allowed Christine to stop taking both the medications and the monthly infusions. She has been in remission for two and a half years and no longer needs a cane. Christine’s business experience and savvy has been a driving source for growing Benefit Health Collective into a profitable private dispensary.
