Beverly Bond started out spinning at local clubs just for fun, and within a year Beverly turned into one of New York’s top DJ’s. Bond founded BLACK GIRLS ROCK, a global women’s empowerment movement. Bond’s work as a community leader has earned her a number of prestigious recognitions. Mostly, Bond was recognized as one of Essence Magazine’s 40 Fierce and Fabulous Women Who Are Changing the World. She was also recently named one of Ebony’s Most Influential Blacks in America.
