OLIVER G. GILBERT III

Oliver G. Gilbert is a lifelong resident of the city that is now Miami Gardens, which was incorporated in 2003. He was appointed to the Miami Gardens City Council in 2008 and has served as mayor since 2012. Oliver currently serves as chairman of the Miami Dade County Local Black Elected Officials, is on the Executive Committee of the Miami Dade County League of Cities and is a member of North County Citizen’s Association.
