WALKER SMITH

[Author]
With a background in writing and music, Walker Smith recorded two solo albums with the prestigious Casablanca label (under the name Bobbi Walker), and another with the Alfa label before shifting her attention back to writing. Moving from the L.A. music scene to New York, she wrote interviews and commentary for Vertigo and African Voices Magazine, as well as features for the Reel Sisters Film Festival. After the publication of “The Color Line,” her epic Harlem Renaissance novel, she completed “Bluestone Rondo,” a gripping Cain and Abel story set in the world of Jazz and Bebop. “Mello Yello” is the result of a two-year collaboration with music industry legend Jack the Rapper Gibson. “Letters from Rome” is a departure for Smith—a unique sensory blend of romance, déjà vu, and African history.
